Well, hello there, you beautiful little book gremlin.
Welcome to my corner of the internet, where the coffee is strong, the fictional men are morally questionable, and my search history probably has me on several government watchlists.
I’m Ivy Westfield. I write romance featuring dangerous men, stubborn women, questionable decisions, and the kind of happily-ever-afters that require a little chaos along the way.
And apparently, I have a website now.
Look at me, being a whole professional author and everything.
If you’ve found your way here through my Devils of Seattle series, you already know I have a weakness for men who run criminal empires but somehow turn into absolute fools when the right woman walks into their lives.
Connor Callahan, Marco Rossi, and Ilya Morozov have been taking up residence in my brain for quite some time, and frankly, none of them are paying rent.
But the Devils aren’t my only problem.
I’ve also got a supernatural medical clinic full of creatures who probably shouldn’t be trusted with sharp objects, a small-town sheriff with some very questionable romantic priorities, and approximately seventeen other story ideas fighting for attention at any given moment.
It’s crowded in here.
So, What’s This Little Corner of Chaos All About?
I’m so glad you asked. (You didn’t, but I’m telling you anyway.)
I wanted a place where we could do more than talk about release dates and book announcements. Don’t get me wrong, we’ll absolutely do that too. But I also want this to be somewhere we can have a little fun with the worlds and characters we’ve grown attached to.
Think of it as the bonus content nobody asked for but everybody secretly wants.
Character interviews: Ever wondered what Connor Callahan would say if someone asked him to describe his ideal date? Or how Marco Rossi would react to being called a cinnamon roll? We’re going to find out. Against their will, probably.
Behind-the-scenes nonsense: From the scenes that almost didn’t make it into a book to the characters who completely hijacked their own storylines, I’ll share some of the madness that happens between the first sentence and the final manuscript.
Exclusive little extras: Character group chats, favorite quotes, bonus scenes, and glimpses into what happens when the book ends but the characters refuse to leave me alone.
A peek into my actual life: Because behind every fictional crime boss is a real woman wearing comfortable pants, drinking entirely too much caffeine, and wondering why she decided writing books was a reasonable hobby.
And, of course, you’ll get writing updates, upcoming book news, cover reveals, and the occasional opportunity to help me make decisions I will almost certainly overthink anyway.
A Little About the Woman Behind the Mayhem
I’m a romance reader first and an author second.
I love complicated characters, sharp banter, found families, and men who are terrifying to everyone except the woman they’ve decided is their entire world.
I firmly believe a heroine can be strong without being invincible, a hero can be dangerous without being cruel to his partner, and a happily-ever-after is even more satisfying when the characters have to fight the outside world to get there.
I also believe that fictional men should be held to a higher standard than real ones when it comes to grand romantic gestures. If you’re not willing to dismantle an entire criminal organization for me, sir, what are we even doing?
(Kidding. Mostly.)
Outside of writing, I’m fueled by caffeine, sarcasm, an alarming number of story ideas, and the people I love.
I’m also the kind of person who gets emotionally invested in fictional characters and then acts surprised when they hurt my feelings.
You know. Normal author behavior.
Before You Go…
I want this space to be a conversation, not just me shouting into the internet about imaginary people.
So tell me: If you could sit down and interview any character from the Devils of Seattle, who would you choose?
Would you interrogate Connor about his soft spot for Olivia? Ask Marco how many times Violet has threatened to throw him out of her coffee shop? Or try to get Ilya to admit just how long he’s been hopelessly in love with Katya?
Personally, I’d bring popcorn to all three.
Thank you for being here, for reading my stories, and for giving these fictional troublemakers a place in your hearts.
Make yourself comfortable. We’ve got a lot of chaos ahead of us.
Stay wicked,
Ivy Westfield 🖤
